Legal Status and Organizational Structure<\/u><\/p>\n

The Technical Centre for the Wood and Furniture Industry (CETIBA) is a legal entity of public economic interest, subject to the provisions of the Commercial Companies Code. It has legal personality and financial autonomy, and is placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy.<\/p>\n

CETIBA was established by decree of the Minister of Industry on February 29, 1996, at the request of the industry and in accordance with Law No. 123 of November 28, 1994, concerning industrial technical centers. It began its operations at the end of 1997.<\/p>\n

THE TECHNICAL CENTER FOR WOOD AND FURNITURE INDUSTRIES works to develop the wood and furniture sector through three main strategic pillars:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Developing the wood and furniture sector by leveraging technology, economics, marketing and the environment to support companies in their innovation processes, through training, technical assistance, testing of finished products and raw materials, etc.<\/li>\n
  • Undertake actions to upgrade the sector in order to enable it to consolidate its position on the local market and to conquer new markets through standardization, quality and cutting-edge technologies.<\/li>\n
  • Acquire, centralize, manage and disseminate scientific and technological information from research and development, technology monitoring and documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
